I love this station so much and honestly i can say it is most imposative monumentale nice station in Europe. i March i go there because i want to shoot booth leons on platforms that guarding the station, there are so beautiful. Photos taken on film with Flexaret VII TLR i haven’t developed yet but i post it on my Flickr.
Bad changes to the station? From last time where i was there a new “security” gates was installed before platforms. It is BAD BAD BAD !!!! Lot of people must wait before gates in small hall, too much overcrowded. After security gates situation is same, lot of people waiting there because no all passengers ending trip here but only changing a train. After security gates there are not any seats , i can not find a toilets and there is only few options to buy a drink or something to eat.
When i talked with security guy about gates he says me there are because pickpockets here but it is nonsense, Exit from station is mostly open and quicker than entry, entry is possible only with QR code of ticket or magnetic/rfid public transport. My QR next day when i have a valid ticket to Rome don’t want to me enter there 2 h before departure, its nonsense if i want to take some photos :-( and i don talking about “bad guys” who can enter to the platforms any time
