Italy 2026, day 4, Milano – Roma
Today is that day, that very special day. Day what i want to make so special for me.
My needs for today was:
- Enjoy Milano
- Enjoy Hi-Speed trains
- Enjoy the land of Italy
- Enjoy Roma
In the morning after check out 1st a looked to spot where i can get typical Italian breakfast and i find it around a corner in nice bar.
Than little bit walks to nearest supermarket to get some drinks and food to the long trip day in train.
Next my move was to the station to make most photos as possible in morning light conditions. These photos you can find in my separate post about Milano central train station
At station i ordered another coffee and best croissant with cream what i ever had
Than i go to my train to board and listen one song that inspired me to this trip
Raid was very nice and smooth, no delay and very fast, unfortunately RFI (companie that have tracks) has built Hi-Speed tracks only in section of Milano to Firenze and from that there is no hi-speed tracks but overall ride was very fast. I took this trip 1st time in my life and visited Roma 1st time in my life too.
I never ride a AV train in Italy and i never see how Bologna AV station is looking, i was there only if they are in construction. To my surprises trains goes to Bologna AV and from there in tunnels, unfortunately you can not see anything from the land and must listen to the conductor saying where are you and how long ride is to the station. But this station i have plan to explore in my trip to back.
And after few hours we are here!!!

Than i finally go out of station, what i see for 1st time is some demonstration where i do not understand what is about because there a LGBT flags alongside Palestinian flag i think these two flags can not be seen at same place together because one is about freedom and another is not.
Than i finding spot where i can buy travel ticket, That is hard than i thought. I searched all information at official web page and no one sellers at station is haven’t card what i want to have. sad i must buy ordinary paper-magnetic one :-(
It’s time to go to my hostel what is close to station, nice place and fast check-in . Im 1st at room and i can decide what bad i want, i decided next to windows , unfortunately late i realized this is mos squeezed bed .
Started to exploring Roma
1st visit was Colosseum, due to many tourists here i not enjoyed place how i want and mostly sad thing was too much expensive coffee at metro station
Throughout all day a exploring city and about 20:00 i going to another country and city
In Vaticano
at night this place is very nice how i remember it from Young Pope TV series :-) than i going back to Colosseum and now is better, few people and i can walk around.
